We have one mission
Strong body. Strong mind. Strong future.

Calisthenics brings that spirit back — using the body to build strength, balance, and control. It’s movement made fun.
Calisthenics is a natural, functional fitness based on bodyweight movement. Meaning, no need for heavy gym equipment. Think: squats, push-ups, pull-ups, and handstands which help your child improve focus, resilience, and coordination.
Parents love it because it’s a safe form of exercise that improves posture, agility, and self-esteem. Our kids love it because they feel real progress in their abilities while having the time of their lives.
Our team consists of only certified calisthenics coaches and personal trainers with enhanced DBS checks, and trained in Children’s Safeguarding and Protection. Your child will learn functional movement from the very best and build their confidence and body control for now and years to come.

Our story
Humble beginnings
Once upon a playground…
Kids ran wild. Climbed trees. Came home with scraped knees and brave stories.
Then came screens and loss of self-esteem. Movement stopped.
Survival Fitness brings back the courage. We run calisthenics classes that teach your child to move, fall and get back up. To laugh. To sweat. And to believe in themselves as the young heroes they are. One epic mission at a time.
During the pandemic, Dina was a personal trainer and calisthenics professional working in all-female gyms. Something tugged at her during those sessions. Every time she asked clients about their children, she heard a repeating story: “they’re stuck at home, glued to screens, barely moving”.
Healthy kids are a parent’s responsibility, sure – but it takes a village to raise one. We all need some help at times. That’s when Dina made a decision that would change everything. She looked around at the women she was training and said, “Bring me your children.”
We began where all good things start: outside. In public parks, just with monkey bars, open air, and curiosity. Every park in the UK has the basics for calisthenics; places to hang, push up, pull, climb, and crawl. So we built a class designed to start moving through play and challenge.
The kids came alive. They tested their strength. They fell and got back up. They surprised themselves. It didn’t take long before we knew we were onto something.
Soon, schools started calling. But what we found wasn’t always encouraging.
Vending machines were stocked with crisps and energy drinks. Some students would be dropped off at 8:30am and found buying chocolate in the corner shop before class started.
At our first school assembly, we said it plainly: we are up against a culture of convenience, of low standards, and of habits that work against our kids. That honesty opened doors. Schools like Leicester Grammar invited us in to run after-school sessions. And we found calisthenics worked perfectly alongside PE programming. That year we opened our first location in the heart of Leicester.
The more kids we worked with, the clearer it became: even one class can shift something in a child. They came back, again and again. We moved from single classes to week-long programs, then expanded to 12-week blocks. 98% of families stayed with us as we all felt the change for our kids. Survival Fitness was now fully underway.
The year we raised the bar. We organised the very first Calisthenics for Kids Competition in the UK. Possibly even the first in the world. A real, judged competition, run to the highest standards.
We brought in elite judges, including Guinness World Record holders, world champions in calisthenics, and boxing legends. What mattered most was the look on the kids’ faces when they finished a routine and heard the cheers. For many of them, it was the first time they’d ever competed in anything physical. And it landed.
2025 marks another big step forward. On December 6th, we’ll host the first Regional Championship for 300 kids! Endorsed by the UK Calisthenics Organisation and co-organised by Survival Fitness. We’ve come a long way since those first muddy park sessions. Now, hundreds of kids train with us, parents not only understand what calisthenics is, they’re noticing what it changes for their child’s future. It is a full-on community effort thanks to the families, our team, educators and of course our ninjas.
In 2026, we will expand internationally for the first time, starting with Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. We believe every child is capable of movement, of understanding their body, and of learning how nutrition, confidence, and resilience are all connected. And we will go into the places kids and parents need us most.
Your child is in great hands
