What age does my child need to be to attend?
Survival Fitness classes are for children of all abilities, aged 5-14 years old.
Do you offer a trial class? Yes, the trial class is 90-minutes and £12.50 per child.

What is the cost of the classes, and are there any additional fees for uniforms or equipment?
Classes are £12.50 for 90 minutes and booked in a 12-week block after the trial class. The Calisthenics guide and uniform can be purchased on our website.
What does a typical class look like?
All classes are split into cardio, stretch, conditioning and skill. Children work through the calisthenics guide created by coach Dina and progress through from grade 1 to grade 5. In each class all children work at their own pace and ability and are grouped with children of a similar ability.
How do you ensure that the exercises are age/level appropriate?
Children progress through the grades according to their individual ability. The grades start at beginner, and each child works at their own pace and progresses once technique and consistency are achieved.
How do you ensure correct form and technique?
In each class there is a head coach along with coaching assistants, the technique and form of all children in our classes is important and monitored throughout the entire class.
What is the student-to-instructor ratio in the class?
This depends on class size, in the class there is a Head Coach and Assistants Coaches- the number of assistants depends on the class size.
How do you handle children who are struggling or notkeeping up?
There is no set pace in classes, some children excel in certain areas and struggle in others. Every child works at their own pace, so no child is required to keep up with any other child, technique, form and understanding of each move is our focus.
Are parents allowed to stay during the class?
No, all classes are drop and go.
How do you communicate progress or any issues with parents?
When joining you can purchase the Calisthenics Guide - coaches will complete these in class and you will be able to monitor your child’s progress. Children also receive certificates as they progress.
Do you provide any resources or activities that parents can do at home with their child?
You can use the Calisthenics guide along with the Survival Fitness YouTube that breaks down the grades in the guide.
What physical skills will my child develop in this class?
Our classes are designed to improve their body strength, flexibility, mobility and coordination. They also learn and understand the importance of nutrition and movement long term.
What would you expect of my child after 6 months ofattending classes?

What is the policy for missed classes or cancellations?
If the class is cancelled by Survival Fitness and alternative class or refund will be offered. No refunds or swaps are offered if you miss or cannot attend a class for any reason.
Is there an equal split between boys and girls in the classes?
We have a combination of girls and boys in each class, this does vary.
